Jessica Trujillo Manager of Student Services

Jessie was born and raised in Tampa, FL, and is consequently an enthusiast for citrus, sunshine, oceans and beaches. She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and became forever a loyal fan and believer in the saying, “It’s great to be a Florida Gator!” Jessie graduated in 2005 with a B.S. in Event Management and again in 2007 with an M.S. in Tourism and Recreational Studies. She lucked out her senior year and was able to backpack through 13 European countries while collecting qualitative data for her graduate thesis titled: The Meaning and Benefits of Leisure: A Cross-cultural Analysis of Young Adults.

After graduating, Jessie decided that her life needed a bit more excitement, adventure and big city lights… so hello New York City! Before joining the MG Prep Team, Jessie was a Project Coordinator for Rehage Entertainment, a small event production company. While there, she helped produce the NY Revlon Run/Walk For Women’s Cancers as well as the Essence Music Festival and Voodoo Experience in New Orleans. She swears that everyone must experience an outdoor music festival!

Currently, Jessie’s a volunteer Associate Board member for Gilda’s Club NYC, a free cancer support center, where she helps raise awareness and plan social fundraisers. In her down time, she is an avid reader of sci-fi, fantasy and historical fiction. Jessie loves to travel, host dinner parties/game nights and entertain out-of-town guests. Also, since she grew up going to spring training games, Jessie loves to cheer on the NY Yankees! Jessie doesn’t go anywhere without a camera, and most people would describe her as overly optimistic.
