 Chris Ryan

Chris earned his teaching stripes the hard way -- in the classrooms of America’s high schools.  A five-year physics and chemistry teacher and a veteran of Teach For America, Chris has been winning rave reviews for his work at ManhattanGMAT.

The bearer of a 790 official GMAT score, Chris has no shortage of teaching chops. In addition to blowing up high-school laboratories, Chris developed and taught a summer program on complexity theory, attracting a critical mass of other geeks.

Having run out of explosives, Chris returned to school and earned his M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business (Duke), graduating in the top 10% of his class.  While at Fuqua, Chris was the head teaching assistant in core Statistics and Finance courses.  He also won both the Asa T. Spaulding Award for Leadership and the Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to Fuqua.  Subsequently Chris worked for two years as an associate in McKinsey’s New York office.

Currently, as Director of Product and Instructor Development, Chris is involved in hiring, training and overseeing ManhattanGMAT instructors throughout the country.  He also manages the creation and revision of content for our curriculum and other student offerings.

Outside of ManhattanGMAT, Chris pursues interests in the independent film world.  He is an executive producer on Sólo Dios Sabe (Only God Knows), a Mexican-Brazilian feature film starring Diego Luna and Alice Braga that competed at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.  Chris is also co-adapting a novel into a screenplay.
