When Brian was little, he wanted to be a motorcycle man, an astronaut or a teacher. Somehow he ended up here at Manhattan GMAT… Well, he lost his interest in motorcycles irrationally. When Pluto lost its 'planethood,' he considered his dreams of being the first human to step foot on the furthest planet moot…and cried a little bit. And after playing school with stuffed animals and bored relatives for the greater part of his childhood and tweenhood, teaching lost its luster. So Brian Maxsween came to Manhattan GMAT.

Well, that’s not exactly how it happened. That's merely the Reader’s Digest Version if you will. BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts in hand, Brian leads the life of a struggling artist. He is the Assistant Artistic Director of Pipeline Theatre Company, a company he co-founded in 2009 with a big family of artists from the Atlantic Acting School. He is also currently working with Charles Tuthill at the Atlantic Acting School as a TA for Shakespeare classes. And he’s one of the Chucks in "Three Kids Named Chuck," a performing troupe for kids he writes and acts with.

When he’s not writing, auditioning, acting, rehearsing, assisting, producing, managing or sleeping, Brian finds time to work and play with the wonderful Marketing and Student Services Department at Manhattan GMAT. And while his theatrics only get him so far in the office, he offers many skills acquired from his Mom. He spent many weekends when he was a little tyke playing office alongside his mommy at her customer service and marketing job. His favorite thing to do then was to help her with the filing. And while we may be moving into a paperless world, Brian still has a strong affinity for organization and office work…and his mom!

Brian dreams of acting with Sally Field in a movie some day or singing like ('with' would be better, but he will settle for 'like') Cheyenne Jackson on a Broadway Stage. He has an obsession for beautiful movies, books and quotes. If you ever run across a life-changing quote, send it Brian’s way and make his day!
