While at ManhattanGMAT, Akash Krishnani is continuously on the phone and online answering students' calls and emails as well as looking for ways to broaden the ManhattanGMAT horizon. What keeps Akash looking forward to work everyday are the enjoyable phone calls from ambitious students (oh and of course he looks forward to working with his co-workers).

Before arriving at ManhattanGMAT, Akash worked in the diamond district for his family business. Looking at diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and other precious stones was something he found tedious, but he noticed it was helpful bringing up that aspect of his life in conversation with the ladies.

After working at his family business for about three years, Akash decided it was time to move out into the world. As an NYU student, he has access to many resources to help jumpstart his career. Lucky for him, ManhattanGMAT was featured on NYU’s career-net.

Once Akash interviewed to be a Marketing Rep/Student Services Assistant at MGMAT, he knew he’d enjoy working there. There could be no better choice than to work for a reputable company that is still growing but has already earned so much respect in the business world.

While he is looking forward to graduating in May of 2008 from NYU with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Akash prefers to partake in his hobbies: basketball, football, reading, and acting. Although he does not look like much of an athlete, he has a mean jump shot and has also been called the next Terrell Owens without the "off the field drama".

Between devoting time to sports and work, Akash loves to read. His favorite book of all time (The Alchemist) is one he continues to read every so often. You can be sure Akash is always caught up with the most recent books of his favorite authors: Paulo Coelho, Mitch Albom, and John Grisham.

An experience Akash will never forget is when he was selected to represent his high school at the National Youth Leadership Forum on Law. Although it was fun touring Washington D.C., what he will always remember is when he got to sit in the United States Supreme Court and, along with other students, got to meet with Supreme Court Justice Scalia.

Akash looks forward to meeting with and speaking to all the ManhattanGMAT students, and asks that if you know of any casting calls or auditions to please inform him.
