Liz is a bookworm. She admits it freely and without shame. Growing up in Syracuse, NY, where it snows six to eight months out of the year, reading always seemed like the best way to spend her time and so she put her library card to good use. From the ages of four to eight, she could only fall asleep while reading, and would frequently wake up with book-spine creases on her face. In high school, she dyed her hair red in an attempt to resemble her all-time favorite fictional character Anne Shirley, with whom she is still on a first-name basis today.

Her freshman year at Boston College, Liz decided to step away from her eighteen-year obsession with books to study Communication. After her first semester, she took on a second major – English (with emphasis in 19th century lit and creative writing). During school, she wrote for several publications, both on campus and off, and interned in an editorial capacity for College Magazine and for David R. Godine, Publisher. Liz also studied literature abroad in London, where she walked in the footsteps of David Copperfield while reading Dickens and determined that she probably should have been British.

After graduation, Liz moved to New York and worked for BarnesandNoble.com before deciding that she needed a smaller, younger company where she could put her publishing skills to work. Manhattan GMAT was the perfect fit.

When she’s not in the office or buried in a book, you can find Liz getting overly involved in television shows, exploring the city, baking chocolate chip cookies, or watching men’s ice hockey (Boston College #1!!). She currently lives on the Upper East Side with her library card and a roommate. Her enormous book collection lives in boxes in her parents’ basement upstate.
