Paul likes to do things differently. While his experiences living abroad in Taiwan and China have helped him explore the terrestrial world, he constantly finds himself drawn to more abstract forms of discovery. Twelve years of classical violin later, Paul turned to violence. He currently is engrossed in the philosophical and physical exploration of the martial art Aikido, which provides unique insight into the dynamic between conflict and resolution as well as injury and pain. He is eager to help other people understand the latter with a hands-on demonstration, but he asks that you please be gentle.

Despite a one year hiatus from all things GMAT, Paul still talks too much about the test, as his girlfriend will attest. Ever since joining ManhattanGMAT in 2004, he has taken particular joy in dispelling the many myths floating around about the test (no, the GMAT is not boring!) and helping students study effectively. And while this mostly takes the form of recommendations to always use time constraints when studying, please remain wary of the occasional wayward suggestion to switch to the Dvorak keyboard layout or adopt a polyphasic sleep pattern which, while being efficient upgrades to currently existing paradigms, have relatively nothing to contribute to GMAT preparation.
