Unfortunately, Caitlin's international background does not get her through the passport control lines at JFK any quicker. She was born in Saudi Arabia to parents teaching at an international school who shortly thereafter moved to Switzerland. Growing up in Switzerland, Vermont and Romania, it was only a natural progression for her to concentrate in International Relations while at Brown University.

During college, Caitlin found her 15 minutes of fame in her alter-ego as the afternoon drive DJ "Lyra" on the alternative rock radio station 95.5 WBRU. Four years in Providence listening to her callers ignore their "r's" made her a Red Sox fan but was unsuccessful at training her to accurately portray a Rhode Island accent, which it turned out was harder to learn than the French, Italian and Spanish that Caitlin speaks.

Caitlin found it easier to imitate the British accent, moving to London shortly after her graduation. While there, she interned for a non-profit organization and supported herself by working for the incredibly rich in the boxes at Emirates Stadium, who thought she might be Australian (guess the accent thing didn't go as smoothly as planned.) When her visa expired, she returned to the U.S., where she found another non-profit organization to intern with.

Using the media and Web 2.0 skills she developed in her various internships and on the radio, Caitlin now works as Manhattan GMAT's Online Marketing Associate, where she dreams of creating social change through YouTube and Twitter revolutions.

She lives in Brooklyn, where she still can't help cringing at every Yankees hat she sees.
