Katie Buongiorno joined the ManhattanGMAT Marketing Team summer 2006, hailing from the ranks of students at New York University. She came across the job posting through NYU’s career net and felt that the internship would give her an opportunity to showcase her talents. Through extensive research and preparation, Katie landed the summer job, which later on became so much more. She enjoys her days and nights meeting new people and spending her lasting hours laughing with the marketing crew.

Katie helps maintain the website, constantly scanning it for information to update.  At the same time, she loves answering questions over the phone, signing students up for classes and taking part in marketing projects to spread knowledge of ManhattanGMAT to organizations all over the world. What keeps her going are her passion and delight for the company and the employees, as well as a sincere interest in the content-based curriculum.

Katie is a junior at New York University and will graduate in 2008 with a degree in sociology and business.  Although she grew up in the beautiful countryside of Hunterdon County, New Jersey , this job further solidifies her love for the city. When she is not immersing herself in the inner workings of the GMAT exam, she loves going to the beach and spending time with her family.  Eating, as is the case for many Manhattan GMAT employees, is one of her favorite things to do. A self-proclaimed gourmet, Katie loves trying new restaurants and constantly returning to old favorites, like half price sushi on St. Marks.

Fencing, playing soccer and running track in high school has allowed Katie to build up her endurance, which she uses to keep her energy level high during the late night shifts at ManhattanGMAT.  After working in large corporations previous summers, as well as part-time during her two years at school, Katie is happy to be a part of a company that retains integrity while constantly growing. She also happens to know everything there is to know about maple syrup and every now and then she takes advantage of the thrilling culture NYC has to offer. Like many college goers, she is a fan of just kicking back, laughing and having a good time with friends.
