Hastings Wyman

Hastings was born and raised in Washington, DC. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and afterwards worked for a German machine tool company in their Michigan office. As a result, he likes things thoroughly planned and doesn’t mind long periods of silence in conversations.
His love of cars, noisy working environments, and the Detroit Pistons was not enough to keep him in the Motor City, and in 2006 he scored a 770 on the GMAT and looked for metro areas without a road salting policy. He currently resides in Austin, Texas, where he is working towards his MBA from the McCombs School of Business.
He still tries to make an annual rock climbing trip to upstate New York, where he realizes that he is old, has sweaty fingers, and is motivated by fear. He believes that the music of Iron Maiden caused the fall of Communism in the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc (Maiden never toured Pyongyang, and Havana’s stadium is too small).
