Ryan Wessel, ManhattanGMAT Instructor in Phoenix
Ryan Wessel
Phoenix, Arizona

Ryan was raised in the snow in rural Idaho Falls, Idaho, and loved every minute of it. After spending two years discovering himself in Hong Kong, Ryan returned to the USA to attend Brigham Young University. While there he earned degrees in Math and Astrophysics. To keep life interesting, Ryan also studied Hebrew, perfected his Cantonese, and added Mandarin to his language repertoire. Ryan worked his way through undergrad by teaching Cantonese to expatriates headed for Hong Kong, and tutoring struggling high school students.

After college, Ryan moved to sunny Mesa, Arizona, where he currently resides with his wife and 2.5 children (a boy is due in December). He loves the weather 9 months out of the year. Ryan took the GMAT on a whim and scored a 760. He recently graduated from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business near the top of his class. He chose business school simply because he was interested in the subject.

Ryan now spends his days as a teacher and curriculum developer for a large private school program (over 1 million students). He spends his nights as a daddy for the most important students in his world. Ryan brings to the classroom 8 years teaching experience, and a love for pretty much any subject he teaches.

Ryan’s definition of happiness includes his family, the outdoors, and a tall glass of fruit juice.
