Jason Sugg
Austin, Texas |
Jason's tutoring career started out in high school when he figured out that girls really didn't dig his awesome geometry skills, but he could trade tutoring sessions for tennis lessons. Unfortunately lessons didn't come with ability, so instead of becoming an international tennis star he went to MIT instead, where he majored in Computer Science.
After college he played corporate nomad for years, working as a software developer and living in Austin, Seattle, and San Francisco (twice!). Somewhere along the way he thought it might be a good idea to go to business school, so he took the GMAT, scoring a 760. But alas, it was not meant to be. Wanderlust hit and he headed off to the UK for a month rather than finishing his applications.
He finally wound up back in Austin, where he is now based. When not chasing his beautiful 2 year old daughter, Magnolia, he works on screenplays and his remedial guitar skills. His dog, Sabine, is looking at him ruefully at this very moment, wondering when he will put the keyboard down and take her for a walk.
Feedback From Jason’s Recent Students
“In Quant, Jason was always able to discuss multiple methods [when reaching] a solution. [He had the] ability to understand where the class was having difficulty and address the right issues.”
