Michael Schwartz
San Francisco, California |
He has been teaching since before you were born, so long as you were born after 1979, when he was a tutor for the Oregon Literacy Campaign, though but a wee bairn himself. Clearly, he has a more liberal attitude toward sentences that threaten to run on than does the GMAT. He will not, however, abide actual run-on sentences. For over ten years he taught, wrote curricula, and evaluated teachers for the world's largest test-prep firm. He assures you that MGMAT's hiring and training standards are more scrupulous and exacting than are those of any would-be competitor. I mean, if only you knew, you'd be embarrassed that you brought it up. He has also taught test-prep courses for a number of universities. When he was a grad student (Philosophy, designated emphasis in Economy, Justice, and Society) he was a Teaching Assistant or Associate Instructor in the Philosophy and Economics Departments, as well as in the Veterinary School. At the high-school level, he has taught quite a lot of Math and English, and a little bit of everything else.
Over the years, he's earned perfect scores on the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT. He was disappointed to score only 780 on his most recent GMAT, which he took solely to qualify to teach for MGMAT. He promises a return to usual standard next time out.
In his day job, he consults with public schools in Program Improvement. If you are a Bay Area high-school principal, and a whole bunch of your students are failing the exit exam, he's your guy.
