Mike’s first degree was in Political Science – which helped get him a totally unrelated job as a blackjack dealer at the Casino de Montreal. Realizing that he was sitting on the wrong side of the table one night as he watched a player shrug off a $100,000 loss, Mike returned to school to get an MA and a JD from the University of Toronto and entered the world of international finance law. Nine years later, Mike managed to escape from law with his ethical and moral views mostly intact and went off to live in the Middle East where he ran an international development project.

In addition to his official score of 770 on the GMAT, Mike scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT, which he taught for Another Company while he was in law school. Mike loves to teach and has also taught associates how to survive life in large law firms and various folks around the world how to communicate in English.

Having a life goal of spending as few winters in Canada as possible, Mike began living in warmer climes with a 6 month trip to New Mexico when he was 19. Since then he has whiled away the chillier months in such sunny spots as California, Mexico, Tokyo, Singapore, the Middle East, and Brazil.

Now, after a lifetime of running from the snow, Mike has returned to Montreal to once again go back to school, teach the GMAT and hang out with his wife and their unfeasibly large collection of squash rackets and warm clothing.
