Tom Rose

Tom is in the MIT Sloan class of 2011, and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. Tom also works for Verity Asset Management, a fee-based investment advisory firm based in North Carolina. Tom is the ex-director of, and currently serves on the community advisory board for the Duke Smart Home Program: a student designed, 10-person live-in laboratory which, under Tom's leadership, became the first LEED Platinum residence hall in the world.
Tom is an entrepreneur who has started several service and technology companies. He started a consulting company called Matriculate Me dedicated to helping high school students and their families during the transition to colleges and universities around the country. Tom has also started a company called Objective Financial Advisors dedicated to providing low-or-no cost financial advice to those in need of objective, un-biased financial guidance. Tom is currently working on a project called RadioAC, which is a socially oriented project focused on regulating consumer energy demand at the residential level.
While not working, Tom enjoys swing dancing, playing the tenor saxophone, and coaching soccer. His beautiful wife Tracy and his energetic portuguese water dog Max keep him busy on the weekends!
