Manhattan GMAT Instructor: Aileen Nielsen
Aileen Nielsen
New York, NY
Like many other instructors at ManhattanGMAT, Aileen has tried out multiple ways of spending her time. She worked in an NGO in France, attended graduate school in Chicago, and also taught plenty of CPR, SAT, LSAT, GMAT, and ESL in Princeton, Chicago, San Francisco, Marseilles, and Hong Kong. Aileen took the GMAT specifically to audition for an instructor position with ManhattanGMAT, and she scored a 760.

Aileen majored in anthropology at Princeton University (after officially changing her major 3 times and fulfilling the requirements for 2 of her ex-majors), and she also obtained a master's degree in comparative human development from the University of Chicago. When not teaching MGMAT courses, Aileen studies law at Columbia University but hopes her students won't hold that against her.

Feedback From Aileen's Recent Students

“Aileen is really friendly and approachable. One of the things that's great about her is that she never makes you feel like you asked a dumb question even if you think it's a dumb question. She is able to create an environment where everyone in class is able to learn and not shy away from asking questions.”

“Understands complex questions, and the ability to break down the questions into easily understood concepts.”
