Peter Meyers
Los Angeles, California |
Peter has been a standardized test aficionado for many years. He long ago discovered some of the most frequently occurring missteps, anxieties, and hurdles which prevent many students from achieving their score goals. While most of his experience has been with the GMAT, GRE, and SAT, Peter has also taught more general math, verbal, and history reviews for high school and college students. He discovered that students who do quite well in preparation for regular exams somehow get lost in translating this skill to standardized tests. In class, he focuses his attention on unlocking students' natural abilities and turning them into advantages on the GMAT.
In sunny southern California, Peter has taught Manhattan GMAT's in-person and virtual courses. His other interests are focused on media and new modes of content collection and distribution. As a Wharton MBA, he has counseled applicants to several top programs and understands that the GMAT is just one facet (albeit a very important one!) of the application process.
An avid fan of change, Peter is eager to try anything new and different -- culinary, travel, games, or events. The eclectic offerings of twenty-first century California have never disappointed, and he expects the cutting edge to get even sharper in the new decade about to begin.
Feedback From Peter's Recent Students
“Pete is very good at explaining math principles, grammar rules and logical structures of arguments. When going over solutions, he explains the reasoning clearly, takes time to explain multiple solutions and shows how to eliminate wrong answers.”
“Pete has great knowledge of course content and the ability to answer tough questions.”
