Sajeev Cherian
Ann Arbor, Michigan |
Though he was born in the eastern Canadian province of Newfoundland and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Sajeev now proudly calls himself a Midwesterner. After living in the Chicago area for a number of years, he moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to start a PhD program at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. As a doctoral candidate at Michigan, he has had many opportunities to develop his teaching skills including teaching undergraduate courses in the business school and being a TA for a number of MBA classes as well.
Before coming to Michigan, Sajeev earned a B.A. in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania. Needing something to do while pondering medical school, he worked for a number of years as a cancer researcher in Chicago and is a named inventor on a patent filed as a result of his work. Just before the dot com bust, Sajeev capitalized on his love of technology by switching hats and developing information systems to support scientific research. After doing that for a few years he finally decided to pursue a PhD and scored a 760 on the GMAT.
Sajeev spends most of his days working on his dissertation which explores how information systems can foster innovation. When he's not doing that or teaching with Manhattan GMAT, he enjoys working on Jason Mraz covers using his Taylor 714ce, arranging acappella songs, going to coffee shops with his wife and being a villain for his 5-year old superhero son to beat up.
Feedback From Sajeev’s Recent Students
