Bernadette Buck
Boston, Massachusetts |
When the capital markets decided that perhaps there had been a bit of excess valuation placed on this newfangled Internet thing, Bernadette headed back to her native Boston and began a new focus on the environment, in particular clean energy and climate change. She now provides technical support and training at the demand response provider EnerNOC. Demand reponse programs allow companies to get paid for reducing their energy usage during periods of peak demand while at the same time providing clean, reliable capacity to utilities and grid operators.
Due to her love of teaching, Bernadette made time along the way to teach and tutor many levels of math and language, including several years of experience teaching the GMAT for another test prep company. She joined Manhattan GMAT immensely pleased to find a company that focused on mastery of the underlying math and verbal concepts on the test. With a 760 official score, she enjoys taking apart the tougher questions with students and making the lightbulb go on over their heads.
She still certainly skis when she can, but also enjoys hiking, country-western two-step and line dancing, live music, and puzzles.
