Robert Wilburn
London, England |
A native of Washington, D.C., Robert is a start-up guy at heart, having developed early-stage ventures in Boston, Palo Alto, North Carolina, and London. This includes the classic Silicon Valley start-up, at which point he lived in the company’s offices (or rather, the company worked in his apartment - either way, you know you’re an entrepreneur when the centerpiece of your living room is a whiteboard!).
As Executive Director of International Development, Robert is helping to expand Manhattan GMAT’s services globally, and recently spent several years in London launching MGMAT's programs in Europe. Robert has extensive experience working with students from around the world, and recent students of his have gone on to attend Harvard, LBS, Stanford, INSEAD, Kellogg, Wharton, Columbia, Chicago, as well as many other top-tier schools.
Robert scored 760 on the GMAT and was a Sloan Fellow at London Business School, writing his thesis on collective intelligence and decision-making in complex adaptive markets. Before that, he studied Religion at the College of William and Mary. While in Europe, he became a fan of Premiership soccer and springtime in Paris, and somewhat naively decided to enter the l’Alpe d’Huez Triathlon (one of the most painful days of his life!). In his spare time, he likes to play soccer, bike, and travel.
