Chris Ryan
New York, New York |
The bearer of a 790 official GMAT score, Chris has no shortage of teaching chops. In addition to blowing up high-school laboratories, Chris developed and taught a summer program on complexity theory, attracting a critical mass of other geeks (his undergrad degree in physics from Harvard gives him geek cred).
Having run out of explosives, Chris returned to school and earned his M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business (Duke), graduating in the top 10% of his class. While at Fuqua, Chris was the head teaching assistant in core Statistics and Finance courses. He also won both the Asa T. Spaulding Award for Leadership and the Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to Fuqua. Subsequently Chris worked for two years as an associate in McKinsey’s New York office.
Currently, Chris serves as Vice President of Manhattan GMAT. Outside of Manhattan GMAT, Chris pursues interests in the independent film world. He is an executive producer on Sólo Dios Sabe (Only God Knows), a Mexican-Brazilian feature film starring Diego Luna and Alice Braga that competed at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Chris is also co-adapting a novel into a screenplay.
Feedback From Chris' Recent Students
“Chris demonstrates a true ability to help his students master the course load. He goes above and beyond the program content, taking time before and after class to analyze student’s developmental needs.”
“Chris Ryan is a great instructor mainly for his ability to keep his students interested in the material and the topic at hand. He does this by having a good grip on the topic, and he seems to speak from a great range of experience. He takes his time with the lesson and faced every question his students had with great knowledge.”
