Abby Pelcyger
Abby began teaching her senior year at MIT. She helped freshmen design a manned trip to Mars, as a Teaching Assistant to Course 12.000: Solving Complex Problems. That year, she also served as an Associate Advisor to freshmen, helping them to adjust to college through a weekly seminar entitled: The Sixties through the Eyes of the Beatles.
Abby spent several years as an analyst for Charles River Associates and the Foundation Strategy Group. Joining Teach For America, as a two-year hiatus from her consulting career, no one was more shocked than she was to discover her passion for teaching. After five years at her Philadelphia Teach For America placement school teaching science to kindergarten through eighth grade students (yes, that’s right: all nine grades), Abby is now back to school full-time, working on her doctorate in education at the University of Pennsylvania.
With a 750 GMAT score (back when that was in the 99th percentile), Abby is excited to have joined Manhattan GMAT’s team - and to finally have a job to pay for her teaching habit.

“Abby had a command of the information taught and was very successfully able to answer most of our toughest questions in a clear, direct and often times, simple manner. She was also extremely friendly and committed- always offering to answer questions before class, after class, and during breaks.”
