Gregg Lachow: GMAT Tutor in New York
Gregg Lachow
New York, NY
Over the years Gregg has taught filmmaking, English as a second language, high school math and physics, world history, theater directing, the art of collaboration, and how to make the perfect latke. He loves to teach, and usually comes away from class feeling that he has learned more from his students than they have from him--evidence that he is either a very good teacher, or a very incompetent one.

For 15 years Gregg, armed with a Harvard degree and a test score of 780, has taught the mysteries of the GMAT and the B-school application process to hundreds of students. He is still waiting for one of them to return the favor and reveal to him the secret handshakes of high finance. Until that day, he spends his free time directing and producing feature films (eight to date) that play festivals throughout the world and earn him untold, and untellable, riches.

Gregg is thrilled to have come back to NY after too many over-caffeinated years in Seattle. He returns with a wife who is also an artist, meaning their two kids will have to learn how to balance a checkbook on their own.

Feedback From Gregg’s Recent Students

“The classes truly were engaging. If Gregg saw that the class was dosing off he would make us get up, move around, and sit down again. This not only would wake everyone up but would liven the mood. Furthermore, Gregg was always available to answer questions and there was never a bad question.”

“He has the ability to break down difficult problems and explain them in many different ways and to explain the psychology behind how you should approach certain problems. Gregg is awesome! Also, amazing at forcing you to learn to solve the problem your own way.”
