Rey Fernandez
San Francisco, California |
A native of The Bronx, Rey currently calls San Francisco his home. In 2001, he moved from the Big Apple to the Bay Area to create and direct Crossroads at Marin Academy, a public-private partnership program that aims to serve low-income middle school students and their families. He left that job in 2007 and currently attends the evening and weekend program at the Haas School of Business. There's no doubt his 760 GMAT score was helpful to him in the admissions process.
Rey has been teaching and tutoring for Manhattan GMAT since 2006. When he's not working or studying, Rey enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with his wife Eso, his daughters Anaís and Aleia, and his dog Ubu.
Feedback From Rey’s Recent Students
“I really like the pace that Rey has in class. He is great at breaking problems down and demonstrating effective strategies to solve problems. Rey's experience as a teacher really shows and he applies that experience to the GMAT class. The flash cards are a great tool.”
“Rey is clear and confident in his teaching style. He is able to convey difficult topics in such a way that I learned them with ease. It's a good thing that he's naturally upbeat, patient, and wise, it really set the tone for the class and for us to learn.”
