If you ask his students were he’s from, they won’t know what to tell you. Israel, New York, some other remote corner of the world? He’s taught GMAT in three different languages, and with an official score of 780 under his cap, he clearly knows his stuff. But it is his passion for helping his students that is his real guide, and when he teaches he looks like he “really enjoys this stuff!”

Some people grow up knowing that they want to mend broken bones or put out fires. Josh Braslow grew up knowing that whatever he would do, it would include teaching. Starting his career in the cacti-laden Arizonan desert (which as it turns out is his real point of origin), Josh first tasted of the pleasures of teaching while tutoring his school companions in math, science, languages, grammar – anything he could get his hands on. His philosophy was simple – if he could learn it, he could teach it.

Recent students have commended Josh's "enthusiasm", his "experience teaching the GMAT to different audiences at different levels" and his "demonstrated supreme knowledge in all facets of GMAT testing." Students praise Josh's ability to create a "great learning environment where students are not afraid to ask questions."

Alongside this love of teaching, Josh discovered an unquenchable thirst for truth. With much searching and a slew of personal tribulations, he happed upon a study that he hopes to some day be able to teach (he’s still working on the learning part on that one). Some call it a spiritual study, others a medical discipline. Homeopathy – the word that everyone has heard of, but no one really understands. Today he is working on building his clientele alongside his teaching career.

Homeopathic healer or GMAT teacher extraordinaire? In the end it’s all about getting to the root of the puzzle. In the GMAT, it’s not so bad; GMAC makes the rules. We learn how they think – their game, and then we beat them at it. Now as for the meaning of life and universal truths. . .That may take all of us a little longer than a few months of preparation.
