Ray Weaver is a PhD candidate in marketing at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He’s been a teaching assistant for courses in marketing fundamentals, qualitative and quantitative marketing research, and consumer behavior, for which he was nominated for MIT’s Goodwin Medal.

Before entering the academic world, Ray worked for ten years in information technology marketing and consulting. His career included positions at Akamai Technologies, Intel, and Deloitte Consulting. Along the way he earned an MBA from Wharton, where he was named a Palmer Scholar for graduating in the top 5% of his class. He also holds undergraduate degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. Ray scored a 790 on the GMAT.

Ray is an avid runner, a budding poker player, a movie buff, a former karaoke champion, and the daddy of two girls ages 5 and 3. They remain blissfully unaware of the Pythagorean Theorem.
