Emily Sledge: GMAT Tutor in Orange County
Emily Sledge
St. Louis, Missouri
Emily began teaching as an undergraduate at Cornell University, where she was a teaching assistant for a freshman lasers and optics lab and a math tutor to high school and undergraduate students. She graduated from Cornell in 1996 with an engineering physics degree, which has been collecting dust ever since. After graduation, she left cold and picturesque upstate New York for cold and planar central Ohio. There she worked as a design engineer for Honda R&D, designing vehicle lights and other electrical components. After several years, the promise of decent weather lured her out to Southern California. While continuing her product development career at Black & Decker, she earned an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School.

Emily joined Manhattan GMAT in the spring of 2005 with a GMAT score of 790.  Since then, she has taught hundreds of GMAT students in Orange County and Long Beach before landing back in the midwest. She now lives in a western suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband and their two sons. She enjoys photography, gardening, and watching other people do messy projects on TV.
