Horacio Quiroga
New Orleans, Louisiana |
Currently living in New Orleans and working towards his Ph.D. in Latin American Studies at Tulane University, where he got his MBA with a concentration in Finance, Horacio lived for eleven years in Argentina and also spent time in Brazil. He has taught English as a Foreign Language, the GMAT, the GRE, and the SAT to (literally) hundreds of people. He has taken the GMAT several times and is the bearer of a 760, 99th percentile, score.
Students have praised Horacio's knack at "spotting students' weaknesses" and never "giving up until he sees the necessary improvement." Others have commended his extensive knowledge of the GMAT exam and the humor which he brings to the preparation process. "Horacio is a born teacher," a former student wrote, "and he has the ability to explain the most complex things in a few words."
"I think that Horacio's most remarkable strength as an instructor is the wide knowledge he has about the GMAT exam and the clarity of his teaching method," said one student. "He goes directly to the point, because he knows exactly what it takes to excel in the GMAT exam."
When not teaching the GMAT or playing golf, Horacio spends the most important time of his life with his wife, Alejandra, and their twelve-year-old child, Rodrigo.

He is also very knowledgeable of the material and was able to provide good explanations. He was also very responsive to student feedback. It was great that he was so responsive.”
“Horacio was very helpful; he would go out of his way to help fellow students providing additional practice material. Horacio would stay after the lecture to explain difficult subjects. He is also extremely friendly.”
