Daniel Patinkin: GMAT Tutor in Chicago
Daniel Patinkin
Los Angeles, California
Having called Chicago his home for some 30 years, instructor Dan Patinkin relocates to Los Angeles in August of 2008 to pursue ambitions in film writing and producing. He is confident that his die-hard loyalty to the Chicago Cubs will only go stronger with distance.

Dan attended St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago's Taylor Street neighborhood before accepting the Well Scholarship to Indiana University. He left Bloomington with a B.A. in English and History, a concentration in business and a love for Henry Miller, coffee shops, and various parlor games. Dan also has completed significant graduate study at DePaul University in International Relations and Economics. He begins the USC Peter Stark Producing Program in Fall of 2008.

Dan likes to refer to himself as a jack-of-some-trades. Since entering the work force in 2001, he has worked as a real estate broker and developer, a financial analyst, a teacher, and an operations manager. Most recently he worked as an equities trader and investment analyst.

Since 2004 Dan has contributed to the production or financing of numerous feature film and television projects, including Drunkboat with John Malkovich and John Goodman. He has collaborated with several notable musicians, including singer-songwriter Zack Hexum, blues great Corey Harris, and hard rocker Geno Lenardo of Filter.

Dan spends his free time and money on travel, sports, entertainment and the arts. He is known to haunt various concert venues, cafes, cinemas and theaters around town. You might also find Dan on the beach volleyball court or hiking the canyon.

Dan derives great fulfillment from teaching and tutoring. He has instructed student of all ages: grade school, high school and college students; SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT test takers; and real estate professionals. He brings a unique (some say "unusual") sense of humor and spirit to his classes, and works hard to make the learning experience as enjoyable as it is educational.
