If x and y are integers such that
x= 8y + 12
what is a common divisor for x and y?

a. x = 12u
b. y = 12z

where u and z are also integers.

thx in advance

PoonamchiK,
This problem looks a little weird to me. Will you check the specific wording and confirm that all I need to do is find a common divisor for x and y? I ask because if I know that x and y are integers I could just use 1 as the common divisor without going to the statements. I want to ensure we have the precise language before we start working on this.
