Word Transl: General Question- There are n members on a team

Hi I have some uncertainty how to deal with this piece of information in word translation problems.

If it says that there are n members on a team, can I conclude that n>= 0. Of course I would assume that n>0. But can I also conclude that n cannot be zero?

I had a situation like:
n(n+3)=0

question: is n unique?
--> Then the solution is unique only if n cannot be zero. Otherwise it has 2 solutions.

Yes, I would think that if it says that there are n members on a team that there would be some positive number of members. A team of zero members wouldn't be a team (that's just my thinking, but I suspect that I'm right).
