Hi, I live in the Austin area and am curious if anyone has any recommendations for a service that will review admissions essays? Online or in person is fine. Does Princeton Review do it?

Some of these services cost $600 which is a bit on the steep side for me :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For review, I used UniEdit. It cost about $4.50 per 100 English words.

They won’t write it for you. I wasn’t an English major so I need help with complicated English, especially after a long day of work. You can choose rounds of editing. I think that’s where I get the most value for my money. For example, I write it, sent it to a person who critiques it, and then the person sends it back to me to rework it. So I actually learn a little bit of phrasing and structuring.

Choose an issue of importance to you—the issue could be personal, school related, local, political, or international in scope—and write an essay in which you explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation.
