The answer should be C. The Media HAVE is correct here because teh non-underlined portion of the sentence has "THEY" so the author is treating MEDIA as Plural subject rather than singular. Moreover .the structure is II Media have ...........but they have . I hope that helps!!! Saurabh malpani |

Well, i hope you can give a more elaborate answer.. it is normal to assume that media is singular because it is a collective noun, but in D the plural "Media Analyses" in "Media Analyses of the stock market crash have had as a focus" can modify the latter part of the sentence as well... "Media Analyses have generally overlooked some of the serious flaws in the banking structure, clearance and settling issues" because Media Analyses is a plural.. Wouldn't that be better that assuming that the author assumes media to be plural? can you please help? |
