 (((-2)^-1) + (-3 - (1/20))) = ?Well lets solve the problem bracket by bracket...term by term:(-2) ^ -1 = - (1/2) ---> Term 1(-3 - (1/20)) = ((-60/20) - 1/20) = -61/20 ---> Term 2Altogether we get:-1/2 + (-61/20) = (-40/20) - (61/20) = -101/20Therefore, your answer is -101/20. Pretty sure 101 is a prime number so the above fraction cannot be simplified further.

Again, be sure to post the source when you post here. _________________Jamie NelsonManhattanGMAT Instructor

 Dears,the answer is -(71/20) not - (101/20), since -(1/2)=-(10/20)
