I need some urgent advice. If the optional test taker information is wrong in the test taker copy, can that have a negative impact on someone's application.

Essentially once the test is over, we need to fill optional test taker information. Now when I was providing that information, I am afraid that SOMEHOW I filled wrong information in the "the undergraduate major" field. Maybe because this section was timed, and I didn't realize that till only a few seconds were left and rushed through.

Bottomline, my "official score report - test taker's copy" reflects this wrong information about my undergraduate field of study in the "Optional test taker Information (Self reported)" section. Can you advice whether this is likely to be a problem for me when I am applying for MBA admissions, when my undergraduate major on the GMAT score report DOES NOT match with my official transcripts. Please provide your expert comments asap.

Because it's just optional info, it shouldn't be a problem, but you can contact GMAC to ask what to do - perhaps they have some form you can fill out to fix the error or something like that. Go to www.mba.com and look for contact info to send an email or call to ask what to do.
