Hi There,
I was originally planning to read the 8 MGMAT guides before enrolling in a 9-week course. Do you believe this to be a good strategy or is taking the course as long as I keep on schedule sufficient? I also plan to study for about one month following the completion of the course from other books such as PowerScore SC, PowerScore CR, and LSAT RC. Goal: 750.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Feel free to go through the information ahead of time, but remember that the way our course is structured means that you will read the books throughout the course as well. The course was designed in such a way that our students complete every practice question from the Official Guide and our 8 Strategy Guides by the end of the course. The only preparation we ask of our students coming in to the course is to take a practice CAT exam to gauge their ability levels. So as long as you think that you'll have enough time to complete all the homework (about 10 to 15 hours) every week, it might make more sense to just take the course.
In terms of reading other books, I would say that you can, but we feel our approach is comprehensive and reading other books after the course might end up being confusing. However, we do recommend waiting a couple of weeks after the end of the course to take the GMAT so that you can tie up any loose ends or just let the information sink in.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
