Hi

Have taken 3 Manhatan mock GMAT tests till now and have scored in the range of 680 to 720. My real worry is that in each of the tests, I got around 10-15 questions wrong in quant and the number is 14-17 for verbal section. I was wondering with such low accuracy, do scores of around 700 make sense!!

Any opinion/ suggestion would be most welcome.

Its not the number of Q that will hurt u more but its their position and Q wrng in sequence...always remember first five and last five are more imp...(i got 24 even with 10 q wrng in verbal gmat prep...2 RC back to back wrng)
MGMAT give u scope to improve even if 3/5 first Q got wrng ...but GMAT prep dont ...
biggest mistake-- if in starting or in between u get wrong.. u can improve by giving write ans to next Q but giving wrng ans to last Qs will only result in reducing score andCAT will not give any chance to improve,,---as no more q left

Summery.. be accurate in starting ,steady(cool head) in between and try to end it will ....
u will always score 50+ with the same skill set..

most imp dont let 3 Q wrng in line....Any adaptive CAT will kill ur score on seq of 4+ wrng Qs....if u have doubt abt last Q then try to be correct on current Q.

always verify b4 going ahead ..is this the same ans i want to mark...not much..other wise u will get double minded..my score improved from 46-48 to fix 49 because of this

That's the way the test works - everyone gets lots of questions wrong. Most people get about 60% of the questions right. Even at the very top levels (750+), people are only getting 80 to 90% of the questions right!

If you don't know how the scoring works, or if you approach the test with an "old" mindset (thinking that your score is based on percentage correct, as it is on paper tests), then you'll find it a lot harder to maximize your score.
