an iron ridge over the Rhone make sense as a single entity, so there should be a , after Rhone. This eliminates choices A and D.

I just started preparing for gmat and two weeks into it. But, i think it is a parallel structure. I think C represents perfect parallelism. I think it is a list. But, again I am confused between b and c. I am more inclined towards C because of the parallel marker AND.
