SC doubt regarding 'Like' preposition

In the idiom list, it is mentioned that

RIGHT: Matt drives fast cars like his sister
(= both drive fast cars- i.e. 'Like his sister' is noun modifier modifying Matt
OR
= both drive fast cars in the same way -i.e. 'Like his sister' is verb modifier modifying verb 'drive')

I understand that Since there is ambiguity and is leading to multiple interpretations, we should categorise this as meaning error and term this as WRONG. But SC guide says it is RIGHT.

Please explain.

Ignore the second part. The only appropriate interpretation given the use of the word "like" is that Matt is like his sister - they both drive fast cars..

Dear Instructor - I also have two doubts here.
1. This sentence is comparing the action of Matt and his sister. So in this case as we are comparing two clauses should we not use as instead of like. Matt drives fast cars as his sister does .
2. In the given right version I think the comparison is wrong , as it is comparing 'fast car' with 'sister'.

Please clarify.

Even i think the same.
Comparision between Action seems to be made here.
Mike's Action should be compared to her sister's rather than the sister itself.
Please clarify.

I wish I could shed more light here but Tim has explained it already . . . there is only one reasonable interpretation and that is comparing Matt to his sister, not fast cars to his sister.
