Hi Stacey,

I have been following your posts for a while and have also imbibed some of the tips that you had shared during my first GMAT. I intend to retake the GMAT since I am vying for the top programs and, therefore, need a better Gmat score to make up for my mediocre GPA and ECs.
My current split is Q50 V34.Being a non-native speaker, I have not scored well on the verbal. But there are several instances where I have seen stellar verbal performances from Non-native speakers.I was very confident with sentence corrections before the verbal section but the test seemed to touch upon the idiomatic aspects of SCs and I found it quite unfairly biased towards native speakers.Bearing these points in mind, I decided that I could work upon these weaknesses and also sustain the level of performance in Quant.
I have 5 weeks of preparation period before I take the GMAT again.I need an your honest opinion in this regard.

P.S: My worst score on Quant has been 46 in all my mock tests.

Is that current score from the real test? It looks like it, but I want to make sure. I'll answer assuming that it is from the real test.

On the quant, my answer is short: keep up your skills there, do whatever you did before, and hit that 50 again. :)

For the verbal, I need some more specific data from you. Use the below article to analyze your most recent MGMAT CAT (and tell me ANY ways in which you deviated from official conditions, including skipping the essays):

Then come back here and tell me what you discovered. Note: don't just list the data - tell me what you think it means. That ability to analyze is crucial to your ability to improve!
