Is there any advice for quickly finding the split of the numbers?
Also, to be sure, you can rule out 44 right away?

It is unclear what you are referring to by ”the split of the numbers”. Furthermore, problem 181 does not have 44 as an answer choice, so you are definitely going to have to provide greater detail if we are to help you. Keep in mind of course that OG problems are copyrighted and thus illegal to post on our forums, so if you really want some answers here you’ll have to be creative in how you phrase your questions..
