Pronoun "it" means from SC Manhanttan book

I find this sentence from SC Manhattan book and I curious about this pronoun. Could you pls help me?

"An Indefinite Pronoun is not specific about the thing to which it refers."

1. "it" from this sentence means Indefinite Pronoun or the thing?? I think that it means Indefinite Pronoun bit I'm not sure.
2. "which" refers to the thing because it is nears the word, right??
Moreover, which substitute Sub of the sentences why there is "it" too. I don't understand about to which // from which // in which. I always cannot find the right sub.

Pls explain to me....

"thing" matches with "which", so "it" must refer to the Indefinite Pronoun. The rest of your question is too riddled with unclear abbreviations and grammatical errors for me to parse. Please try again so i can help you..
