Hi There,

Will appreciate your views on which schools should I apply from my consideration set and how good are my chances

GMAT - 700 +
Academics - 3.4 (Gold medalist from university of Delhi, India in finance)
Work ex- 2.5 years with Mckinsey & Company, Top performer
Recommendations - will have one Mckinsey partner and one Engagement manager
extra curricular activities - Street play
Hobbies - guitar, poetry
Social work experience - two social initiatives (one from college and one in Mckinsey)

My college consideration set (in order of priority)
Chicago
Columbia
Indian school of Business
NYU Stern
Carnegie Mellon
Yale
Duke
HK UST
Nanyang

Please advise

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in. With a 700+ GMAT and solid progress at top consulting firm like McKinsey, I think you have the potential to be competitive at all the schools you list. I encourage you to focus on your Why MBA? statement as well as doing the research at the individual schools to show why they are a good match for you. Your post-college community involvement can also help differentiate you from the pack, so focus on that in your essays where appropriate.
