I have been preparing for the gmat since the last 7 moths and this was my first attempt.I had been extremely diligent in my studies throughout(almost 2.5-3 hours daily)
Did all the right things such as making error logs,going through debriefs,analysing choices carefully,analysing tests,giving tests with awa ,reading powerscore cr,mgmat sc,did just every thing possible
My last eight mock scores(gprep+mgmat)have between 730-780 .Got 770 in the last gprep.But was absolutely destroyed by gmat today got 640(q-49,v-27)>absolutely shocked with verbal score,Rc's seemed to be long and tough but still didnt expect to fall from v45 to a v-27.Even sc's were convoluted
Please help,please suggest me some good books,study material ,just anything.iam done with all my tests and materials.

In my opinion, you should firstly think over why you get such a score unexpectedly. Maybe you really have the ability to test well. Perhaps some other reasons result in this failure.
come on!!! hope you succeed next time!

Hi,
If you need a detailed analysis of your result, you will need to post your query it in the GMAT General Strategy forum.
It would be good if you include all your practice test scores, what you think went wrong on the real test and any other details that you think are relevant. The more data you give, better response you will get from Stacey.

I agree even I felt the GMAT exam has changed and become difficult. I gave the exam on Oct 8th, 2011. I got a miserable score of 590 :( :( even after getting 650 plus on my Manhattan practice exams. I was least stressed during the exams and finished all the sections on time.
RC's was much longer in length and there were 2 long passages with each 4 questions in comparison to GMATPrep. The SC have become tough and convoluted. I don't think there is study material out there to reflect these new changes. I believe there is a big gap between the real GMAT and GMATPrep. I am highly disappointed.

I had the opposite experience since my scores never touched 750 mark while I got 760 in the actual gmat.
