I posted my profile earlier and appreciate your responses. I have an additional question.

I am debating on joining the AF reserves to help pay for my bschool. They will pay a good chunk of it, but not necassarily enough to go for that reason alone. I was wondering if going to the air force would help my chances?

I know my weaknesses are my GPA and GMAT, but I have quite a bit of leadership experience that isn't listed.

My top 8 schools are:

Darden, WashU, Notre Dame, Texas, UNC, NYU, Ohio, Yale and Columbia

Thoughts? Chances? Recommendations?

Your accomplishments seem quite impressive – “Top Forty Under Forty”, two board memberships, etc. Considering the fact that you are skeptical of the financial impact, if I were you, I would not join the reserves just to bolster my chances. You have enough strengths in your profile already to capture the attention of the AdCom.

Considering your profile, despite your "low" scores, I still think that you could be competitive at all of your schools of choice, except for Columbia, which would be a reach. Still, you have enough safe schools on your list (WashU, Notre Dame, Ohio) that lobbing in an application to CBS would not be a mistake. Why not be a bit adventurous with one application?
