Hey I have finished the 6 MGMAT test would you recommend resetting them and retaking them or purchasing the 5 additional 800score exams.

How much of the content in the reset exams can I expected to be repeated (10%, 50%, etc)

Hi,

What to do next really depends on what stage of your studying you are in. When you took the six initial tests, how did you take them? Did you study new concepts between each exam, or did you space them out and make sure to analyze each individual test for your strengths and weaknesses and then work on those through content and practice problems before moving on to the next one?

If you have been taking the tests fairly consecutively, before moving on to more tests or resetting your 6 exams, I would suggest reading this article: http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... ice-tests/ on how to evaluate the tests. Once you've done that, you might want to read through this article, and especially click through to the links about analyzing each type of question from your practice tests: http://www.manhattangmat.com/articles/b ... y-tips.cfm This will help you make sure you're getting the most out of each of your tests.

If the reason you have already taken all six of your practice tests is that you have been studying for a very long time, then it might make sense to reset the exams. However, this would mean that all of the questions you have answered will be released back into the general question pool. If you find that your ability level has improved, then you probably won't see very much overlap, particularly for the seventh or eighth exam. For instance, if you were scoring in the 500 level range and now you are scoring in the 600 level range, then the questions that the test will give you will be different from the ones you originally saw. That being said, you will still want to keep in mind that your score might be slightly inflated because you'll have seen some of the questions before.

In terms of purchasing tests from 800score.com, if you feel you need the extra practice, you should consider it as a way to practice sitting down for the full 3.5 hours to get the testing experience, but remember that you can also really help your studying by working through and then analyzing problems out of the OG's. Also remember to use the two free tests that mba.com provides (the GMAT Prep tests.) We recommend keeping those tests for close to your actual exam date, as they are the best predictors of what your score might be on test date.

Best Wishes,
