Is d negative?
(1) e + d = -12
(2) e – d < -12
I clearly get 1. Insufficient and 2. Insufficient
For 1+2 can we write this :
e-d < e+d so, -d < d 0 < 2d 0 < d meaning that d is positive ?
is that possible? I feel like this method is wrong somewhere ... Any Help ?
Thanks !!

This looks good to me--what is the original answer? I worked it a different way and also got C, since d is positive when combining the two statements.
