I need some help now. I just took my GMAT second time yesterday and scored 640 (Q46, V32). I have taken the Manhattan GMAT live course in 2005 and took the test immediately after that. I had scored 640(Q47, V31). This time, even though I spent more than 4 months reading through different preparation material, my verbal has not improved at all. I am not happy with this score. I am born in 1973. So, my age will not put me in the desirable age of the MBA aspirants. I am an Indian female working in a software company handling a largest Australian travel client’s software requirements. So, my background will belong to a group which has fierce competition for admissions. Still, I feel at this stage in my career life, I need an MBA to have better opportunities. What is your suggestion on my situation? Can I take third time the GMAT before this year’s application deadlines or should I keep aside my MBA dreams. Do I still have a chance to improve my verbal? If you can help me with your honest assessment, I will be benefited a lot.

Do you have some pills to solve my anxieties on SC and DS in the real exam? These two sections are my weaker areas. I have spent considerable amount of time on preparing for SC. But in the exam I could not find the errors on few SCs. I took a GMATPrep exam and had scored a 690 in that, but in three manhattan exams I took I had scored only 620, 630, 630. These scores were closer to my final exam score.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't achieved your desired score on the GMAT. I can certainly understand your anxiety approaching the business school admissions process, but what I think is best is to keep a level head and try some new approaches to the exam.
If you need help with Data Sufficiency and Sentence Correction, I would recommend taking one or both of the Quest for 750 Workshops that we offer. It seems to me that you are successfully answering the 650-level questions right in these sections, but are having difficulty getting the upper-600s to lower 700s questions correct, which is bringing your score down. These quests would help you flesh out a different approach to these question types, enabling you to get more of them correct. Additionally, I would also recommend looking into private tutoring. I've noticed that you've already had some hours with Keith Blume, and I can't help but feel that more specialized instruction could help you devise new strategies and get more practice on the Sentence Correction and Data Sufficiency portions of the exam.
