I have taken the GMAT exam twice, below are the results:
1st exam: 650 Q48 - 88% V29 - 52%
2nd Exam: 690 Q46 - 75% V40 - 88%
I was wondering if I should take the exam again? I am aiming for some top tier schools. I have a 3.72 undergrad GPA in engineering, and 5 years working at GE.
I've read on some forums it will be better for me to just focus time on my apps instead of retaking the exam since I will most likely only raise my score 20-30 points. I'm hesitant though since I did not break the 80% on the quantitative section the second time around, and I have also heard 1st tier schools look for both scores to be above 80%. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!

If you dont mind my asking, how did you prepare between your second and first test that allowed you to increase your verbal score by 11 points?
