I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the similarities and differences between LBS and some of the top US MBA programs. Generally, it is considered either the #1 or #2 non-US based MBA program along with INSEAD. In terms of competitiveness in admissions, with an average GMAT score of 694, LBS is very similar to Virgina, Duke, Cornell, and probably a shade below Michigan and Southern Cal, but it seems to get compared most often with Columbia and Chicago. Overall I think it is safe to say that LBS would most likely be a top 15 program if it was based in the US. I'm curious though, because I rarely see it mentioned as a possible target school for many of the posters here.
