Similar triangles will have area in the square of the ratio of their sides.

So if triangle 2's side is 2 times greater than triangle 1, triangle 2's area will be 4 times greater than triangle 1.

Here you are given area, so sides will be in the ratio of the square roots.

Hence it is D
